In the still of the night...

Last night was a long night. I kept tossing and turning, different thoughts coming in and through my heart. Tomorrow is the Southwest Campus conference "Dunamis"...the disciples from Arizona and New Mexico will be so encouraged by it as we are while hosting it. In my heart I'm just not all that spiritually prepared, but the world turns anyway. I will be staying at a friends' place in La Jolla while visitors come. Talk about hospitality, letting people use your place when you're not even there. Score!

A campus conference put on by solely by campus students, amazing. It shows that we are starting to grow up and take responsibility now with no staff or interns leading us. I try not to think about it so much, because I miss having leaders devote their time and expertise. But you got to focus on what you have not what you don't. [sighs] Amen, it's going to be a great three days I know it.

Last night after James' Birthday dinner, James, Elaine, and I drove around PB, then to the La Jolla shores to watch the waves glow due to the dinoflagellates in the red tide. It wasn't as bright as the other day, but the sky was clearer and I could see the stars. I even saw a shooting star, my wish was for fall-aways, those wandering to return. I think my chances are better praying about that though.

Today was very eventful, meals with people I love. Since I just got paid I was able to treat them. Lunch with BC was really sweet, I'm going to miss that kid when he goes. He was the one...
